Glasgow Caledonian University Increases the Power of Reporting with Blue Module Evaluations & Blue Text Analytics

Montreal, Canada – February 3, 2017 – Ranked one of the top 10 modern universities in the United Kingdom, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has selected Blue module evaluations and Blue Text Analytics (BTA) to increase visibility on student feedback data.

Blue’s best-in-class integration with GCU’s Student Information System (SIS) will enable them to use demographic data to generate various levels of reports and aggregate results. Integration points in their Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard Learn™, will play a critical part in automating and controlling the university’s module evaluation process. Using Blue’s live response rate dashboard, instructors will be able to track overall response status across all modules in real-time and adjust strategy to increase participation.

Additionally, the university can now leverage the power of qualitative data by using Blue Text Analytics (BTA) in conjunction with Blue. A world-class text analysis tool, BTA will go beyond simple keywords and sentiments to convert raw, free-form student feedback into meaningful themes and quantifiable results. By applying analytic techniques to textual data, GCU will have a more complete picture of student feedback.

Glasgow Caledonian University was founded in 1993 by the union of three institutions: The Queen’s College, Glasgow, and Glasgow Polytechnic. Today, GCU is one of Scotland’s largest universities and offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Amongst its many accolades, the university is recognised as the first in Scotland and the second in the UK to be designated a Changemaker Campus by Ashoka U.
