Explorance at Instructurecon 2014 – Canvas LMS, ​Snowstorms and Sunburns

Canvas’s Instructurecon 2014 was a blast as thousands of attendees enjoyed Park City, Utah in June – and yes there was a combination of snow and reddened foreheads in the mountains!

Explorance sponsored the event and took the opportunity to launch and demo Bluepulse for Canvas users. Bluepulse is a dynamic feedback tool which encourages continual students and faculty improvement and it will be available in the Canvas eduAppCenter in early July.

Explorance also presented Blue, Explorance’s Learning Experience Management platform, to a room of caffeinated  educators, say that ten times fast, which generated some amazing discussion. A recording of the session will be posted on Canvas’s Youtube channel in the next few weeks if you’re interested in viewing it in the future.

The event was a huge success as Explorance’s team enjoyed speaking to educators, including some who were new to Blue and some who have been users for 10+ years! Blue’s learning tools interoperability (LTI) integration with Canvas allows for LMS widgets for all areas in the education ecosystem and continues to impress with deep LMS and SIS integration.

This year’s Instructurecon theme was ‘Calling All Heroes’ and over 1,600 heroes of education attended including instructors, administrations and techies. With inspiring keynote speeches and workshops, the event was a great opportunity to network with Canvas users from institutions across the United States and Canada.
