University of Auckland Selects Blue for Course Evaluation Automation

Montreal, Canada – February 22, 2016 – Following a thorough RFP process, the University of Auckland has selected Blue to automate its course evaluations in order to continuously develop the quality of education.

“The University of Auckland chose Blue because it integrates with Canvas,” commented Pamela Moss, Director of Planning at University of Auckland. This open integration will increase traffic and participation by offering a convenient way for students and instructors to access course evaluations and reports through the existing portal. Blue will also be accessible from any browser, device or internet connection. With a wider range of accessibility, administrators at Auckland will get a more complete view of student feedback.

Blue’s advanced reporting engine will enable stakeholders to effortlessly create reports at any level (individual, course, faculty etc.) and share them with the right people. “We could see that it provided the ability to manage course and teaching evaluation information in a way that delivers immediate feedback to staff and robust information from which to understand and improve the quality of courses and teaching at the University,” Moss noted.

As New Zealand’s largest university, the University of Auckland hosts over 40,000 students. Auckland has four specialist campuses and is the highest ranked New Zealand university on the top world rankings tables. A research facility, Auckland includes 25% of all research-active staff and 35% of the top A-rated academic researchers in the country.
