Tufts University Centralizes Course Evaluations with Blue and Blue Text Analytics

Montreal, Canada – March 17, 2016 – In order to enhance teaching and learning, Tufts University has selected Blue to centralize their course evaluation systems and Blue Text Analytics (BTA) to advance their reporting capabilities.

Currently, Tufts has multiple course evaluation systems for separate schools and departments. The university wants to upgrade to a flexible solution that is configurable and can meet their needs across all campuses. Blue will enable Tufts to administer evaluations across the institution through a single system. Evaluation questionnaires can be tailored at every level of the university (department, program, instructor, course, etc.) allowing them to obtain deeper insights. Blue’s flexible reporting engine will enable Tufts to combine their existing data with new information to create a complete data set for all users.

As a prestigious school renowned for excellence in education, student feedback is highly valued by Tufts University. With Blue Text Analytics, the university will unlock hundreds of new analysis points in open-ended comments. BTA’s theme-based dictionary will help them make sense of idioms, local expressions, typos and other language patterns that reflect how students communicate. By leveraging BTA, Tufts will have a more complete picture of what matters to their students.

Located in Medford, Massachusetts, Tufts is a private research university that is made up of 10 schools.
