Explorance awarded place on APUC student module evaluation systems framework contract

Explorance has been appointed to a multi-supplier UK education sector framework for supply of student module evaluation systems and associated services to the Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE) institutions of Scotland.

Having completed a competitive framework tender process, Explorance was the highest ranked supplier within the subsequent evaluation of the tender submissions. The framework agreement, tendered by APUC (Advanced Procurement for Universities & Colleges), is also open to member institutions within the UK universities procurement consortia meaning they too can use the framework and have the option to appoint Explorance directly as the ranked number one supplier.

HE and FE institutions covered by the APUC framework, and those within the wider UK universities procurement consortia, can now contract Explorance to supply student module evaluation systems and associated services directly without having to go to tender again.

This year’s National Student Survey (NSS), published in July, shows that students are still reporting lower rates of satisfaction with assessment and feedback on their courses when compared to other areas in the survey. The issue of effective approaches to student module evaluation, which can ultimately support the bigger challenges facing institutions around assessment and feedback, has again been highlighted and these challenges are generally similar in Scotland and in the rest of the UK.
