As a Blue course evaluations user since 2011, ACU has expanded its use of eXplorance solutions by adding Blue Text Analytics in 2015 and now Bluepulse and DIG. Together, the suite of products will enable the university to instill a culture of continuous improvement and help achieve teaching and learning priorities. By improving their data intelligence and integrity, ACU can drive student success, faculty and staff development, and institutional decision-making.
Focusing on the learning experience, the institution will leverage Bluepulse campus-wide to gather ongoing student formative feedback. Adding real-time insights to their assessment strategy, ACU can improve learning outcomes, teaching effectiveness, and the student and faculty relationship. Through daily suggestions in Bluepulse, the university will be able to create an open dialogue between students and instructors that stimulates engagement and improvement. After implementing Bluepulse for teaching and learning, ACU plans to explore using the tool to address other institutional priorities such as student services.
In order to improve data quality and completeness, ACU will use DIG for institutional data management. By seamlessly integrating DIG with their SIS, Banner® by Ellucian, the university will ensure that correct course, teacher, and student information is used to administer evaluations. Leveraging accurate data at the outset, the institution will automate cleanup processes reducing the need for manual intervention saving both time and resources. With DIG in place, ACU is set to improve institutional decisions with accurate, complete, and consistent evaluation data.
