Washington College to Enhance Student Experience with Blue

Montreal, Canada – September 14, 2016 – Washington College, ranked the 100th National Liberal Arts Colleges, has selected the Blue all-in-one assessment solution to manage its student feedback processes.

“Washington College faculty challenges students to integrate theoretical knowledge, investigative skills, and creative expressions in ways that address complex problems and contemporary challenges. We are very interested in hearing from students about how their courses here assist to these ends,” comments Victor Sensenig, Assistant Provost for Institutional Research and Assessment, Washington College.

With Blue, the College can gather and analyze student feedback through a variety of tools (i.e. surveys, course evaluations, 360 degree feedback, etc.). Blue’s best-in-class integration with the school’s LMS, Canvas, will ensure that all users have a convenient and optimal course evaluation experience. “We chose Blue because of its capacity to assist us in giving faculty members the option of administering course evaluations online and improving their access to information about the student experience,” adds Sensenig. Instructors can embed course evaluations directly into the LMS, giving students a way to seamlessly access and complete forms without leaving the portal. Administrators can also quickly view results and generate reports for effective analysis.

A private independent liberal arts college located in Chestertown, Maryland, Washington College was founded under the patronage of George Washington. As the first college chartered after the American Independence, the school is the 100^th oldest college in the US. The school currently has a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,467 and sits on 112 acres.
