Sheridan College Invests in Blue to Enhance the Student and Faculty Experience
College set for continuous improvement with Blue, CEF, Bluepulse, and Blue Text Analytics
Montreal, Canada – September 19, 2014 – Sheridan College has selected Blue™ as their new, fully integrated and robust course evaluation system. In addition to Blue, the institution is enhancing accessibility, engagement and the user experience with a new course evaluation framework, Bluepulse™ and Blue Text Analytics. All of these components are part of a larger, comprehensive Learning Experience Management (LEM) approach which results in continuous improvement.
To help increase faculty engagement, Sheridan College can make course evaluations and reports flexible, customizable and easy to use with Blue. By implementing a cascaded approach, the College can tailor assessments and reports to reflect all teaching and learning priorities (institutionally and by Faculty, program, and professor). The institution can also embed links directly into the Learning Management System through Blue and brightspace by Desire2Learn integration to increase accessibility and to improve the user experience.
“We look forward to working together with eXplorance as we begin to implement a new course evaluation framework at Sheridan,” says Melanie Spence-Ariemma, Sheridan’s Associate Vice President, Academic Quality. “The ability to deliver the new framework using Blue will provide flexibility in customizing Sheridan’s course evaluations.”
The college can also achieve other key aspects of LEM including increasing evaluation frequency and optimizing qualitative data by leveraging Bluepulse and Blue Text Analytics. By implementing Bluepulse and Blue Text Analytics, the institution can provide professors with the opportunity to gather real-time insights from students. Designed for the classroom, Bluepulse will enable the school to continuously improve by using daily student feedback to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Integrating fully with brightspace, Bluepulse offers an accessible mobile version to provide students and instructors with an easy way to stay connected.
