Humber College Improves Student Feedback with Blue Course Evaluations and BTA

Montreal, Canada – August 3, 2016 – The Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (Humber College) has selected Blue course evaluations and Blue Text Analytics (BTA) to improve their student feedback process.

Adding to Blue’s presence in the region, Humber College joins other leading postsecondary institutions in Ontario including Sheridan College, Brock University, and University of Ottawa. Catering to over 27,000 full-time and 57,000 part-time students across eight academic schools, Humber is one of Canada’s largest community colleges.

As a Blackboard Learn™ institution, Humber College will benefit from a best-in-class integration between their LMS and Blue. This integration will allow them to embed course evaluation forms directly into their student portal, increasing accessibility and participation. Making use of BTA will enable them to examine open-ended comments from course evaluations, categorize them into meaningful themes, and convert them into quantifiable results.

The Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is a publicly-funded polytechnic college located in Toronto, Ontario. Established in 1967, the college offers more than 150 programs across 40 fields. The institution also has an international outreach program working in more than 20 countries.
