Explorance Conducts COVID-19 Impact Surveys for Higher Education and L&D

Montreal, Canada – April 15, 2020 – In the ever-changing situation that we are in due to this unprecedented global health crisis, Explorance recognizes that staying connected and sharing information is vital. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the two user communities – Bluenotes and MTMImpact – have shown great solidarity and commitment in helping each other navigate these uncertain times.

Whether it’s sharing resources to help others adapt courses to an online format, or sharing the questions their organization will use in course evaluations or surveys, members of each user community participated in a variety of discussions that helped ease some of the burdens of this rapid pivot.

On the suggestion of Community members, Explorance recently launched two surveys:

  • COVID-19 Higher Education Impact Survey
  • COVID-19 L&D Market Impact Survey

The goal of each survey is to gather and consolidate insights on how the roles and responsibilities of L&D and course evaluation practitioners across the world have been affected by the pandemic, as well as the challenges and priorities that they are focusing on and addressing. Dr. Yeona Jang leads these survey studies along with Explorance survey experts. Dr. Jang and her team used BlueX, a powerful survey creation software that anyone can use, to build and administer the surveys.

The findings of each survey will help Explorance develop a rich perspective that can be beneficial for course evaluation and L&D practitioners as they work to manage the impact of COVID-19. Survey findings are presented here.
