Synopsis: Explorer Wellness Week kicks off today! At Explorance, the wellbeing of our colleagues forms an essential part of our longstanding culture of reciprocity. In these challenging times, this means extending support and putting time aside to check in, recharge, and consider the best ways to mentally prosper and process stress. Below, we outline the range of activities sprinkled throughout this week.
At Explorance, we strive to realize the full potential of every single person during their journey of learning and growth. We do so by fostering a collaborative and innovative workspace, that encourages support and trust for all.
Following a successful week of mental health activities last February, today will mark the start of ‘Explorer Wellness Week’. Facilitated by Paul Simard, a trained mental wellness and small-group facilitator and founder of HuMENity, this 5-day event will consist of daily workshops and interactive activities dedicated to improving and supporting the wellbeing of all Explorers.
‘Explorer Wellness Week’ will also be followed up by a series of helpful monthly keynote speeches, keeping up vital support for mental wellness for all Explorers over the coming months.
Explorers can now also access an expanded set of services via our standard benefits package to assist with mental health difficulties at any time throughout the year.
Explorer Wellness Week – February 2022
Monday
To jumpstart our first ever ‘Explorer Wellness Week’, Explorers will be welcomed with an interactive session that is part keynote, part activity, and part workshop. Facilitated by Paul Simard, Explorers will be introduced with ideas and activities to better nurture their own relationships between work and mental wellness.
Tuesday
The second day of ‘Explorer Wellness Week’ will have Explorers learn about the different types and impact of mediation, along with some basic techniques and demonstrations on how to create a more meditative lifestyle.
Wednesday
Continuing the week, our Wednesday session will discuss the impact that breath has on your body, mind, and wellbeing. Explorers will also pick up some basic ways to use their breath to benefit their everyday lives.
Thursday
‘Explorer Wellness Week’ continues with a session discussing the importance of food for our wellbeing. This will range from what kinds of nourishing foods we could be eating, to the tools we need to support healthy minds, bodies, and lifestyles.
Friday
The final day of ‘Explorer Wellness Week’ will have a session that will help gamify the workplace, where Explorers will learn new activities to introduce in the office that will help improve overall wellness at work.
Monthly Keynotes
Valuing the importance of Explorers’ wellbeing, we wanted to continue this support by lining up 4 monthly keynote speeches with world renowned wellness speakers beginning on March 2nd, 2022. Explorers will be able to attend the following keynote speakers:
March
For our first keynote speaker, Explorers will hear from Martin Enault, Chairman, Board of Directors at Relief, an organization that is dedicated to helping those living with anxiety, depression or bipolarity, by shaping the path of mental health and finding relief in their own journies.
April
The second keynote speaker Explorers will hear from is Leigh Patterson, a Mindset and Healing Specialist, and a domestic abuse survivor who is now a leader in the impact of mindset and neuroscience to heal and thrive.
May
Explorers will hear from our third keynote speaker, Bhaskar Goswami, founder of BODHI, a company that is dedicated to offering genuine wellbeing and wellness programs using yoga and meditation techniques.
June
Our final keynote speech will be given by Michael Gay, a private-practice therapist based in Boulder, Colardo. Explorers will hear from Michael’s experience and expertise over his 14-year career as a guide, therapist, and trainer, specializing in depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, and families.
This is just the beginning at Explorance – we will look to continuously improve upon our culture and values to ensure the success and wellbeing of both our Explorers and their families. Whether its new initiatives or essential benefits, Explorance will continue to champion our “people first” culture.
