R1 Institution George Mason University Upgrades Course Evaluations with Blue

Montreal, Canada – May 13, 2020 – Explorance is pleased to announce its partnership with George Mason University (GMU), a Carnegie R1 institution. The university joins other R1 institutions that have selected Blue to power their course evaluations, including Indiana University Bloomington, Northwestern University, Princeton University, and more.

The move to Blue is a result of GMU needing to transition its course evaluation process from paper to online due to the ever-changing climate presented by COVID-19. Blue will provide a fully automated process that can improve the rate at which student feedback data is processed and analyzed at George Mason University.

Customized reporting in Blue will ensure that relevant data is sent to the right people at the right time to drive the best decisions in teaching and learning.

Explorance’s partnership with Interfolio was a factor in the university’s decision.

Both instructors and administrators will benefit from leveraging critical student engagement and course evaluation metrics in the upcoming promotion and tenure reviews, ensuring all relevant data are included in these crucial processes.

Founded in 1972, George Mason University is Virginia’s largest public research university and enrolls over 37,000 students. It is noted for its research in the field of economics.
