Montreal, Canada – May 10, 2017 – Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has selected Blue course evaluations because of its advanced data and analytics capabilities. The college joins two other Blue powered institutions in the Wisconsin Technical College System – Lakeshore Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College.
“We made the decision to move to Blue for course evaluations based on a desire for more robust data for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning,” comments Lea Ann Turner, Instructional Technology Specialist.
Purpose-built for data and analytics, Blue will seamlessly integrate with Mid-State Technical College’s IT systems Blackboard Learn™ (an eXplorance partner) and PeopleSoft. These high performance integrations will synchronize data helping increase accessibility, participation, and engagement in course evaluations. Blue’s advanced reporting engine in action includes live response rate monitoring, rich reports based on demographics, longitudinal analysis using legacy data, and much more.
“Our faculty are very excited about the option of integrating conditional questions based on program for accreditation purposes, and being able to write their own questions and gather data to meet their own classroom needs,” Lea Ann continues. Both features (program review and question personalization) are easy to use and will give Mid-State Technical College additional control over the data they collect to drive decisions.
Founded in 1911, Mid-State Technical College is a two year school that provides Associate of Applied Science Degrees and Technical Diplomas. The college has campuses in the Marshfield, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids communities with additional courses being offered in Adams County. 92 percent of MSTC’s grads are employed within six months of obtaining their degree.
