Montreal – December 18, 2020 – Detecon (Schweiz) AG, a business management consultancy based in Zurich, has selected Explorance to further enhance its approach to employee performance management through the Blue 360 degree feedback evaluations.
The organisation was seeking a simple, easy, and digitised system to conduct performance management and evaluation through an assessment survey, giving Detecon (Schweiz) AG the ability to launch the process continuously and on demand. Following a competitive tender process, the Blue 360 degree feedback software was selected and the project is now being designed and implemented to deliver the evaluations. Explorance is also providing consulting services to help the organisation develop the survey question set.
“Having transferred our operating model last year to a more agile way of working, we also wanted to introduce a big change in our approach to performance management,” explained Säde Thomkins, HR Business Partner and Head of Recruiting and People Development at Detecon (Schweiz) AG. “What we had in place was not fit for what we needed as a business going forward. Today we work in teams all over the organisation, including newly-formed teams and topic teams, but we have a shared goal to develop the company with the aim of supporting our consultants and making us better for the markets that we operate in. Developing our people is necessary for our business.”
Strengthening the feedback culture was a clear organisational commitment, Säde said. “We have sought this previously, but learned that the culture is far from where we want it to be,” she revealed. “The first step towards deepening the feedback culture, which will be better for the team and for our clients, is the survey. It is important that this is done with employees to enable us to define how they can give their best. We want to listen and hear their ideas and concerns through the survey, and also through the wider process. This is not a top down approach, it is very much bottom up. We want be a good employer for our employees, and ultimately develop better consultants for our clients.”
Säde added: “We talked to many providers through the process and Explorance was only one that could give the range of support we needed for performance management. We got the feeling they understood what we want, and will help us to get better, and also that they will fit us best as we needed some flexible and trust advisor support on the side too.
