British Columbia Institute of Technology Chooses Blue Course Evaluations

Montreal, Canada – July 11, 2016 – The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has acquired Blue to fully manage its course evaluation processes.

The institute joins other Blue-powered schools in Western Canada including the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University. With over 47,000 students and 2,391 staff across five campuses, BCIT is one of BC’s largest post-secondary institutions. The school will benefit from Blue’s native integration with their IT systems Desire2Learn and Banner® by Ellucian. This will enable them to leverage enrollment data and fully automate their evaluation projects, minimizing administrative time and effort. In addition, the Blue and Desire2Learn integration will help BCIT increase LMS traffic, accessibility, and participation by embedding forms and reports directly into their portal.

Opened in 1964 with only 498 students, the British Columbia Institute of Technology now has over 125,000 alumni. The largest and longest-serving provider of trades training in Western Canada, the institute takes a practical approach to learning, ensuring that every student gets hands-on experience.
