MTM 8.3.1 Interface

Montreal, Quebec – 11 April 2022 – MTM (Metrics That Matter) is Explorance’s Learning & Development effectiveness solution. MTM helps L&D teams to measure, understand, and fine-tune the effectiveness of their training and instruction programs.

Today’s update – MTM 8.3.1 – represents a major stride forward, realizing the provision of direct access to MTM surveys within a range of Learning Management Systems (LMSs) via the Blue Connector, including Cornerstone (CSOD).

The results? Clients who have purchased Blue Connector can use it to rapidly integrate MTM surveys, delivering admin time-saving, ease-of-use, and more centralized control of integrations.

This provision of MTM is especially useful in organizations that carry out substantial amounts of virtual, instructor-led training and where employees may not have a corporate email address – as is often the case in the healthcare, customer service, and retail sectors.
Additionally, while MTM 8.3.1 makes directly accessing surveys much easier, it also broadens survey design capabilities with an update that will be rolled out to MTM 8.3.1 on April 22nd.

New question types measuring the inclusivity of training portfolio and other Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) topics, have been specially provisioned by Explorance’s Consulting Services. An increasingly vital aspect of overall training and workplace education, the availability of the very latest, expert-developed questions ensures that MTM users can plan and deliver more inclusive trainings.

Topped off with host of smaller improvements, this update signals better accessibility, performance, and efficiency in the use of Explorance products, including MTM, alongside your chosen LMS.

What’s New?

MTM Product Manager Eric Matson

Lead Product Manager Eric Matson: “MTM’s 8.3.1 release gives our clients a new tool for collecting feedback directly in the LMS, right beside where learners are completing their virtual training. These new capabilities will make it even easier to incorporate measurement throughout L&D functions.”

  • Direct LMS integration of MTM surveys via Blue Connector. These include Cornerstone, as well as Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace – D2L.. For details on the Beta program or on specific functionality available per LMS, please contact your Account Manager.
  • Blue Connector can support multiple learning management systems from various vendors as well as several instances of the same system. Note: learners must be pre-enrolled.
  • New Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) standard questions and business results options will be added to MTM’s post event Smartsheet surveys. Over time, use of these will create new benchmarking opportunities, giving clients the ability to compare their performance across industry and internal benchmarks. Note: to be enabled on April 22.
  • Inclusion of ‘ReportingDate’ in Answer Endpoint to enable better data aggregation. This is available for MTM Connect OUT users and will be of particular use to Tableau/PowerBI users.

The update also includes various minor usability enhancements that can be found in MTM 8.3.1’s release notes.
