USEK decides to leverage Blue in order to migrate its course evaluation process online

USEK – Kaslik – Lebanon – December 12, 2011 – Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik is a private Catholic higher education institution founded by the Lebanese Maronite Order (LMO) in 1961. USEK is located in the heart of Mount Lebanon. It is multilingual by tradition, with French being the predominantly spoken language. Thanks to an extremely dense network of national and international relations, it plays a key role in training highly-qualified researchers and professionals.

In terms of students’ numbers, USEK is the third largest private University in Lebanon and the third largest University in the country. As of 2010, the university is ranked among the top universities in the Middle East and North Africa. The Faculty of Business and Commercial Sciences of the Holy-Spirit University of Kaslik is considered among the leaders in business education in the Middle East. It has been since 1997 member of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Association of the Faculties of Business of Arab Universities.
USEK welcomes more than 7,000 students across 4 campuses (Kaslik, Zahle, Rmeich, Chekka), its ten faculties and four institutes; i.e. fourteen academic units which offer a broad array of high-level diversified education. In parallel, USEK students are educated at the hands of a world-class teaching workforce composed of around 1000 professional educators and researchers. In addition, the university administrative and operational duties are handled by a professional staff of 290 members.

USEK completed an Institutional Evaluation Program conducted by the European University Association (EUA) in 2009. This association aims mainly to guarantee the realization of the predetermined missions and objectives. It also seeks to ensure the conformity of its academic and administrative activities with the European standards of Quality Assurance. It is the first university in the Middle East that conducts an Institutional evaluation program through the EUA. This association has developed more than 250 university evaluation programs all over the world, notably in Europe.
