Blue 9.8 shows what can happen when customer ideas have a direct path to product improvement.
At Explorance World 2026, customers had the opportunity to do more than share feedback. Through World of Ideas, customers pitched ideas for how Explorance Blue could better support their needs and day-to-day workflows.
Several ideas made it through the World of Ideas process, with the first now available in Blue 9.8. From easier access to respondent data to greater control over who can submit responses, these enhancements address real-world challenges in managing feedback. The release also introduces additional improvements across integrations, analytics, reporting, multilingual experiences, and product stability.
“The strongest products are built in partnership with the people who use them. Customer feedback plays an essential role in helping the Blue product team understand what matters most, particularly when it comes to improving response rates and giving customers greater visibility into participation. It helps us identify opportunities to improve and turn ideas into meaningful product experiences.”
— Product Management Team
World of Ideas was created to give customers a direct voice in the future of Blue. Their ideas highlighted practical challenges they encounter when managing evaluations, monitoring responses, and working with data.
Sometimes, knowing who responded matters just as much as knowing how they responded. For example, an instructor may want to identify students who completed a course evaluation and award extra course credit for their participation.
To support these workflows, Blue 9.8 adds CSV and Excel export options for respondent lists in Subject Management. Users can now export respondent lists directly from the View Respondents area, making it easier to work with respondent data outside Blue and support processes such as participation tracking, additional analysis, or sharing information with the appropriate stakeholders.
The release also introduces other product improvements developed as part of Blue's ongoing roadmap, with enhancements across integrations, analytics, reporting, and the overall Blue experience.
Public surveys make it easy to collect feedback through QR codes and other shared links, but some feedback initiatives are intended only for members of an institution. For example, a university may post a QR code around campus to collect general experience feedback while ensuring that only students, instructors, or other members of the university community can participate.
Blue 9.8 introduces Require Authentication for Public Project Fillout, giving project owners the option to require users to authenticate before submitting a response. When enabled, anonymous access is no longer available, so respondents must log in before completing the survey.
For organizations working across English, French, German, Arabic, and Japanese, maintaining a consistent experience in the language of choice is essential. Blue 9.8 helps ensure that report language and translated comments remain aligned, so users can engage with feedback in a consistent, familiar experience.
Blue 9.8 enhances the MLY analysis translation experience so that report output and translated comments can better align with the user's selected language.
With this enhancement, Blue provides a more consistent language experience for MLY-enabled reports, helping bilingual teams and stakeholders review qualitative insights with greater clarity and confidence.
