West Virginia University Selects Blue® Course Evaluations and Text Analytics to Drive Continuous Improvement

Montreal, Canada – August 11, 2015 – West Virginia University (WVU) has selected Blue to fully manage, automate, and administer its course evaluations. In addition, the university has acquired Blue Text Analytics (BTA) in order to gain a comprehensive view of student feedback. Committed to academic excellence and innovation, WVU will use Blue to obtain actionable insights to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

For course evaluations, the university requires a flexible and highly integrated solution that can increase accessibility and provide detailed reports. With Blue, the institution is equipped to tailor questions, forms, and reports to reflect institution-wide teaching and learning priorities. Blue’s ability to integrate seamlessly with PeopleSoft will enable WVU to leverage existing data, synchronize systems, and automate processes. Through Blue and Blackboard Learn™ integration, the university can drive LMS traffic, increase engagement, and raise response rates.

By utilizing BTA, WVU can quickly process thousands of student open-ended comments to yield hundreds of new analysis points. Converting qualitative data into meaningful themes, BTA will enable the university to improve data quality, act on all student feedback, and increase engagement. Leveraging both solutions in conjunction, WVU will increase efficiencies, save time and resources, and obtain new insights to drive continuous improvement.

Located in Morgantown, West Virginia University is a nationally recognized public land-grant research university.
