The Same DNA: Explorance Attends D2L’s Fusion 2013 Conference

From July 14^th to 17^th 2013, Learning Management System provider Desire2Learn was hosting its annual FUSION conference in Boston. As a new partner, Explorance was invited to exhibit our Blue solution and demonstrate its tight integration within the D2L platform.

This tight integration allows for a number of advantages for IR administrators.  Combining the power of Desire2Learn and Blue by Explorance™ allows for fully automated course evaluation implementation through a straightforward and autonomous process.  Institutional Research administrators have the flexibility to add, edit and remove course evaluations and surveys, and Desire2Learn reflects their changes automatically.  Moreover, it allows for allows for a fully automated course evaluation  or survey  implementation through a straightforward and autonomous process.

As for the conference, FUSION 2013 certainly ranks among the most enjoyable conferences I’ve attended. The people at D2L obviously put a lot of thought and effort into planning and organizing the various activities and making their event a great experience for all. From Explorance’s perspective, FUSION proved an opportunity for many things.

First and foremost, the conference represented a first step into the D2L world after the announcement of the new partnership in late June 2013. Our team had the chance to meet everyone in the family, including D2L employees, other partners, and a number of very engaged attendees from all ends of the education spectrum. The overall energy was both positive and contagious. Considering Explorance’s proven commitment to higher education since 2003, we felt right at home.

The conference became the perfect setting to showcase our Blue solution, a testament to our decade of work in automating online course evaluations and surveys, seamlessly integrated into the D2L environment for students, faculty and administrators to access. For attendees with a basic or advanced knowledge of Blue, there was simply more to love; for those unfamiliar with Explorance, it certainly started things off on the right foot! Even D2L representatives were thrilled at the idea of presenting these tools to their customers.

Finally, FUSION offered the opportunity to discuss with our new partners at D2L about upcoming projects, events and other promising topics where both companies see value in uniting efforts and aligning visions. D2L warmly welcomed all of its partners, inviting us to a special pre-conference gathering to share a very positive and compelling message that I’ll sum up in 3 words: let’s work together. Since its inception, Explorance has continuously fostered the same collaborative approach that aims to help everyone reach their goals. We are always excited to join forces with people and organizations who share that same DNA.
